As promised,

a blog entry after S.H.E events.

It had been a SUPER DUPER long weekend, starting off with a super SICKENING someone, asking me n peiying whether we wish to go for S.H.E Circle Line event at 1pm at National Stadium Station.

Me, being a kind soul (not like py), decided to accompany this super SICKENING someone to the SMRT event cos I tot she wish to go.

turns out it's because she has nothing better to do so we ended up there..

when we reached there at 12pm, I was thinking " woo, just wait 1 hour and see s.h.e then can go watch movie liao."

12pm: chit chat with sherine to pass time

12.15pm: starting to sweat abit, but never mind, chit chat somemore.

12.30pm: sweating liao, showing signs of dehydration, so i complained to sherine : " i'm dead thirsty, let's stop toking for now."

12.45pm: I keep looking down to the floor, no mood to tok at all.

1pm: one DJ come and announce S.H.E WILL ONLY COME AT 3PM. ANGRY OR NOT.

1.05pm: *looks at sherine and hoping that she will get the hint and say " aiya we don't wait le la, let's go for movie" . Actual Fact: sherine say " let's just wait lor. since we wait so long le just wait somemore. "

1.10pm: cursing sherine like mad inside my head LOL

1.15pm: dying dying dying

1.45pm: CLOSE TO DEATH...

2pm: throat so dry, was close to having a headache due to dehydration

2.20pm: told sherine i cannot make it, decided to walk off and buy some drinks LOL. ( reason why i walked off cos it turns out everyone else behind us left the area, so me n sherine were at the last row liao )

finally s.h.e came at 3pm... didn't really saw them LOL. only saw their heads. but super chio.

anyway they talked for a while and left, and we went to Kallang Leisure Park to eat pastamania while waiting for py to arrive.

then caught a movie : Date Night ( Super Hilarious Show )

and then went to watch S.H.E CONCERT which is AWESOME!

on Sunday, it was S.H.E Autograph Session at Plaza Sing!

we queued from 8am plus till 5pm!!!!!

tiring. i feel that i'm too old for this kinda stuffs already.

but still i got to shook with HEBE. damn honoured.

she's like the greatest greatest greatest greatest greatest person on earth LOL.

almost wanted to tell her pls go have a duet with jay pls.

but well, it's been a great S.H.E weekend with my fellow S.H.E folks!

and the next estimated update will be JAY CHOU CONCERT.

I have, yet again, forgot that I own a blog.

Okay so quick updates on what's happening:

1) Just received my first pay! feel richer already~

2) Taiwan Trip is set and booked for June =)

3) Just bought myself a 2nd hand PSP for only $80! super worth righttt.

4) Applied for SIM UOL, University of Birmingham and RMIT. [ but after I applied, I just felt that I wish to take RMIT. Even though it's the worst option among the three, but I just wish to go into that. People might think that it's abit wasted but well it's still my own choice ]

5) And oh yeah, with regards to my previous post, I've made up my mind. I'm definitely getting myself a Blackberry Bold once my mobile contract is up in 5 month's time. I figured that another game console is not as important and the price will drop eventually just like the PSP.

6) I'm been busy thinking of ways to earn money to support myself through my university, such as expenses for transport, handphone bill, food and outings. My business alone can only help me earn approximately $200 monthly, so I think I may have to go back to my tuitioning job again for extra income. [ I actually thought of creating another online business, can you imagine that. I bet I won't be able to cope =/ So tuition is still the best job. Easy Money, but Easily gone too. ]

7) Jay Chou's New album will finally, finally, and yes FINALLY be out in MAY supposedly. Just read on xin msn website that other male singers were delaying their own albums so that they won't clash with Jay Chou's release date. I figured this time his album sales will hit record high, due to the fact that he didn't release an album last year. So fans like me will be damn thirsty and hungry for the new album and grab it on Day One of release.

8) Oh, and to further add on about Jay Chou, Patty Hou didn't invite him to her wedding which is kinda sad but still what cheryl said its' true, that he won't go either if he was to be invited.

9) Back to my job again, I'm been working at an australian company for data entry work. In the past I always thought data entry is one of the slackiest job. Yes, it's easy. BUT the mental torture is not! Everyday the work is endless. from the minute you enter the office and start typing, GOOD LUCK to you! You have to continue doing that till the day ends. and oh great! keep this pattern for the next few weeks and soon you'll go crazy for sure. I've worked 3 whole weeks already and am close to flaring, but I still have another 5 more weeks to go. ohmygod.

10) AND. the greatest update of all, S.H.E Concert is next weekend! Py must be happy to hear my excitement like finally LOL. because I had been ruining her excitement for this event.

So my next update will be after S.H.E Concert.

great. i realised that the nike+ipod programme only works if you have bought the kit that allows the ipod to detect the distance u're running/walking.

i felt like a fool spending the past 5 minutes walking around my hse trying to let my sensor detect my distance. god.

i decided to bring down my digital watch which had accompanied me for my entire 4 years of secondary school napfa 2.4 runs. hopefully, it won't disappoint me.

because a few days ago,

i tried that in school.

and i realised whoever who were standing/walking past at the area which i've been staring, would naturally stare back LOL.

okay fine you may think it's lame, but i think it's cool to make fun of natural human instincts liddat.

and i think it's quite cool to eye contact with many strangers because each person's reaction is slightly different.

you can see the facial expressions change when the eye contact, and how easily it bounces back to neutral mode when the eyes drift back to other stuffs.

okay i think im being super bo liao!

sim campus's atmosphere was great!

it just seems like a more mature form of Temasek Polytechnic kinda feel.

but when I was there, it made me feel that TP is still the bestestttttttt school ever.

What's so great abt TP is the food, the people, the environment, the feeling there ( and the numerous free carpark lots available )

but anyway just 5 more weeks of school and we are no longer considered as TP student T_T

So in 2009, alot of things have happened.

many life-changing things are like, me finally driving a car! me doing my SIP, me going to Bangkok for the first time( cos i wanted to go bkk since quite long ago) and dono wad other stuffs.

and now it's 2010.

so i have finally decided since i'm going to be hitting the big 2-0,

i am going to change my priorities in life.

If i end up in SIM the course that i wanna go to, studying will be my first priority.

if i don't end up in a uni and i end up working somewhere, my job will be my first priority.

and this last semester i have treated my studying with more importance as most of my poly friends can notice i guess. since i'm trying to make myself be more hardworking.

so yah. i'm going to study for my test now and make sure i do well in it.

Today I learned something new!

Because I was so terribly sick yesterday at work, I was practically on the verge of puking at least 10 times but I managed to use my willpower to prevent it until I reached my home.

You might think I should have gone to the workplace toilet, but trust me I went there 3 freaking times to try to puke there but all attempts failed due to people being in the toilet! and i didn't want to alert anyone about it somemore.

And so, back to the topic.

Before puking, everyone will experience salivating in your mouth, which means you will find that suddenly , alot of saliva comes up to your mouth right.

although i have experienced that NUMEROUS times,

I never knew the meaning of it as I thought it was just a "symptom" that the body gives to show that you are gonna puke. like *ALERT* symptom that kind, you know what I mean.

but today, because I was so bored at work, I googled and found out that...

The true reason that People salivate first before vomiting is because it acts as a lubricant as well as to protect the lining of the throat, our mouth and our teeth because vomit is acidic and damaging!

My god. As simple as it sounds, I only learnt about it today.

go ahead and scold me slow for only knowing it today but still i'm amazed by this fact!

SLIVEN (Bulgaria) - AN 11-year-old girl became a mother after going into labour during her wedding to her teenage boyfriend, reported European media on Monday.
Kordeza Zhelyazkova was still wearing her wedding dress and tiara when she arrived at hospital and gave birth to little Violeta.

The schoolgirl, of Sliven, Bulgaria, fell pregnant within just two weeks of her 11th birthday. She gave birth last week with 19-year-old husband Jeliazko Dimitrov at her side.

'I'm not going to play with toys any more - I have a new toy now,' Kordeza told Britain's News of the World newspaper. 'She is so beautiful, I love her. Violeta is the child and I must grow up. I am not going back to school - I am a mother now.'

Back from a long day out with my family!

apparently we have just booked a 6 days holiday at Bangkok in december.

and i'm pretty excited about it ( cos i love holidays, who don't right. )

Another thing is that,

i've also received my 2nd month pay of internship!

and it's like $477.77. ( pay is supposed to be $500 but i took one day MC so got deducted one day's pay )

so i'm like earning $22.23 per day for internship T_T

wth man. i drive to and fro already $11plus burned on petrol

LOL.

but still money coming into my pocket is a good thing!

since i've spent alot recently.. feeling quite broke T_T.

i just spent like $48 bucks on a power adapter for my itouch.

cos i'm thinking since the charger given is USB cable ( which means u must charge ur itouch using a laptop or smth )

what if i go holiday, how am i supposed to charge my itouch without my laptop.

so i bought the power adapter, at least i can charge my itouch using an electronic socket.

but it's freaking expensive man. apple stuffs are always so so ex.

and last sat i went to school, i took a cab from Sengkang to Tampines,

wa seh! $7.20 man!

i was thinking that it wud be around $5+

but the stupid uncle was driving soo slowly.

oh yeah, my car is finally back with me already.

truly appreciate the fact of having a car, thus i shall not drive so recklessly as in the past so that it won't crash again. LOL.

im thinking of buying a new laptop for myself,

but my current ( rented from NIE ) laptop will last until end of 2011!

which sucks! cos it has alot of problems, which doesn't allow me to play my computer games.

so angry.

and also my dad was saying just now that got one guy rented a Lamborghini for $3000++ to drive his wife for a day on her birthday o.O

although it's great to sit in a Lambo for once,

but i still think there are other cars that are equally good enuff.

if it was me, i wud rent the BMW convertible for one day man.

but that is if i cannot afford to buy my BMW in my entire life la.

that'll be my only option to fulfil one of my wishlist in life before i die.

S'pore's 4th university to open 2011
Sounds like a new hope for you?

Apparently the school is named Singapore University of Technology and Design.

The name already tells you what it specialises in.

As the university's name implies, its programmes will be design-focused.

They will initially be based on four pillars leading to separate degree programmes. They are tentatively named:

1) Architecture and Sustainable Design;

2) Engineering Product Design;

3) Engineering Systems and System Design and;

4) Information Engineering and Design.

I still thought there was hope. Don't understand why Government wants to build a design based school whereby we have 3 other universities that offer many various engineering and design courses.

I predict it will be a university that is a dumping ground for students who can't make it into their own choices in the other three unis.

Why didn't they have one that provides more alternatives for biz courses?

suddenly there was alot of commercials from Apple on youtube,

and although Apple is like the "IN" thing right now, especially very popular among Gen Y and X,

but still i think that their commercials are seriously insulting Microsoft Windows.

and please do not believe stuffs like Macbooks don't have virus, spywares,crashes etc.

all these stuffs are fake.

Just think about it, Microsoft Windows is dominating the market like 90% right now, with macs dominating the remaining 10% ( if u don't think so, just think abt all the offices in the corporate world, what are the majority using? of course microsoft windows)

thus which share of the market will there be more viruses, crashes, complaints etc?

of course the greater the market share, the more complains there will be.

and honestly mac does crash and have viruses. no such thing as a computer without virus.

and why is Macbook better than microsoft?

people say that macs are simpler, the reason why is because Apple produce their own Laptops as well as the Operating System.

Does Microsoft produce their own laptops? the answer is no. we buy laptops from various brands like Acer, Fujitsu, HP etc. and the Operating system is Windows.

Thus there is a need to install loads of drivers and such, not as simple as Macbooks because everything in a Mac is from Apple. of course all the programs n drivers are compatible in a Mac.

But i personally do not side with windows or mac, as i cannot judge which is better, since i have not buy a Mac before. just felt that it was unfair for Mac to claim that it doesn't have viruses etc and is definitely fooling those people who lack IT knowledge.

on the bright side,

this japanese game show is hilarious! i wish i can play the game though. i think it'll be damn fun.

And i suddenly got something nice to update about, i guess.

It is reported that the ticket price to enter Universal Studios is estimated to be around SG$70!

Initially it was estimated to be around SG$80, but analysts have now expected it to be slightly lower.

Honestly, i still think SG$70 is ALOT. lol.

but all these prices are just estimates from analysts.

so maybe the real price ( that is yet to be released ) might be quite cheap. but i honestly think it'll be above $50 at least.

6am: Leave house unwillingly

6.30am: reach woodlands and wait for company bus to arrive at 6.50am

6.50am: board company bus

7.25am: Reach company office and buy breakfast from canteen and go office eat

7.30am: Eat breakfast

7.45am: sit in front of computer pretending to do work

12noon: Go for lunch

12.30pm: Back from lunch. And continue to pretend to do work

5.35pm: Knock off time! Go sit company bus to woodlands

one of the most common human nature i've ever seen so far is selfishness.

right from the moment that each and everyone of us were first borned,

we were already selfish.

as babies we did not know what is the meaning of being considerate or knowing how to care for other people's feelings.

we cry when we are hungry, or have peed/pooed ourselves or even just to seek some attention even when our parents were asleep, just because we cared for our well-being.

thus, selfishness is not taught but it is within our nature.

but then as all of us grow up, the extent of selfishness varies from one person to another.

and this is caused by the way we were nurtured by our parents as well as the environment that we grew up in which consist of many factors which one example that i can think of is peers.

i really wonder what it is like if everyone can put selfishness to a minimal level.

maybe there'll be less competition, less quarrels, less anger, less of everything negative.

but then the hardest thing for humans to overcome is selfishness.

i think this paragraph taken from a website is somewhat true.

"If you don't look out for your own interests then who will? Why should somebody else be a better judge of what's in your best interest, and how can we be sure his judgment of your selfish behavior isn't motivated by his own selfish nature? Be selfish, I say! Be who you are, look after yourself and always be yourself."

but then, it's sometimes hard to really be yourself without considering the feelings of the people around you right?

and how often do we really show who we really are? do we really smile when we really mean it, frown when we are angry, cry when we are sad, laugh when we really feel it.

i know that feeling of having to really smile or laugh even though you're not sincere about it and i'm sure all of us been through that before.

therefore, life just sucks i tell you.

seems like internship is making ppl feeling quite sad n emo LOL.

had a few chats with a few of my poly friends today.

some said theirs is boringgg.

some said theirs is damn slackkk

and some said theirs is have to do alot of work

and some said they feel very lonely esp during lunch time

so far for me,

i haven't got to dine with my colleagues before. so i dono the awkwwardness during lunch yet lol. but i think tml's my turn.

and so far my work is considered slack.

and yah i do feel lonely at times but its quite okay lah lol since i've worked before without talking much.

and my dept is damn small even tho my company has 700++ plus ppl.

it's like only 3 hr personnel ( one of them my supervisor ) and me and one main hr boss.

the 3 hr personnel are very close to one another. so most of the time in office they tok amongst themselves while i listen to their teases abt one another.

but hopefully soon i can have more tasks to do and more chance to talk to them!

and i think the main hr boss is damn rude! she came into office today and nv greet me sia LOL. and my colleagues were like toking bad abt her all the time. so i think i'm not gonna tok to the hr boss at all LOL.

First day of internship.

Summary:

Woke up at 6.38am ( Yes i'm THAT accurate )

left house at 7.15am

sis drove me to work. reached workplace at 7.50am liddat. ( Note: I reported at Toa Payoh branch in the morning for training first. )

Waited for the person in charge to reach the office - 8.15am ( SO ANGRY. SOMEMORE TELL ME REPORT THERE AT 8AM?!!? WHEN SHE STARTS WORK AT 8.30AM ACTL! )

She then let me sit in an interview room and waited for her until 8.45am. ( nearly wanted to kill her for making me wait so long )

Listened to her conduct a presentation until around 9.30am.

she dismissed me, and told me i need to report at the Tuas Branch at 1.30pm

then since i got alot of time, i went home for lunch instead.

reached home around 10.35am.

slacked around.

and left house at 11.50am ( I LEFT THIS EARLY! )

reached Joo Koon at 1pm.

dad picked me up from Joo Koon stn and dropped me at the Tuas Branch.

when i alighted, GUESS WHAT! one of my heels dropped off!

i was stuck in a dilemma whether to ask for superglue to paste back or shld i just peel off both heels.

called cheryl and finally decided to peel off both sides.

luckily no one saw.

went to the company reception and waited until 2pm then finally someone is inside the HR dept.

was introduced to my office table.

started to do some paperwork.

then finally my supervisor arrived.

took me around the company for a tour. ( and wow it's really freaking huge )

then went back to office, got my work pass and clarified some doubts etc with him.

started to continue to do my work. ( random stuffs like more paperwork, doing scannings as well as sorting out some passports for foreign workers )

worked all the way till 5.35pm which is knock off time!

sat a free company bus to tampines.

GUESS WHAT TIME I REACHED TAMPINES.

LIKE 7.05PM U KNOW. and it made me like reach home at 7.30pm in the end. 2 whole freaking hours.

took so long. i'm nt gonna sit to tampines anymore.

i'm gonna try to sit to bishan tml and sit circle line back home.

so far,

Work is relaxing.

went over to sherine hse with py to learn guitar. turns out that learning guitar needs alot of practice. and i still don't know if i have the time to really learn an instrument.

watched Where Got Ghost with my family members. i think it's quite funny leh some parts. since it's a Jack Neo movie, i predicted that there will be sad parts at the end! and it turned out that there is! lol! typical.

stayed at home that day. can't rmbr wad i did sia.

went out with steph sherine py. met up for lunch ( initially botak jones at orchard ) but then due to the rain we ended up eating pastamania at cineleisure. caught THE ORPHAN. actually thought that it's a really creepy movie, but it wasn't haha. just gruesome with blood. ended the day with popeyes at singapore flyer.

went out with tiff mel yanni at downtown east! ate BBQ Chicken for lunch, and watched The Proposal. i think it's damn funny. i laughed at one part really hard. but not gonna give spoilers here. after movie went to play a bit of pool before heading back home to prepare for tuition at night.

stayed at home! played diablo lord the entire day. ( sherine i finally defeated diablo after all these years u know! BUT I USED CHEATS! )

Ten random updates~

1. tomorrow is my last paper! am thinking of the 101 things to do after my exams have ended. ( although the fact is that i only have 1 week of holiday after my exams )

2. i have come to a decision that i'm gonna learn how to play the guitar and am glad that sherine n charlotte is gonna teach me this saturday :D

3. i have yet to find out what is my Internship company and am thinking whether i'm lucky enuff to be in the same company as most of my classmates. but i guess i'll only get to know my company on 7th september.

4. i have just completed studying finish all of my HR chapters except for the last two ( Compensation Mgt and Benefits ) which are the biggest topics.

5. am extremely jealous that tiffany has ended her exams, YESTERDAY.

6. i received the very bad news from sherine early afternoon, informing me that grades achieved from internship does not play a part in ur GPA. WTH.

7. have just finished watching a korean movie intro-ed by sherine, called speedxx scandal or something like that, and nearly cried at the end. Why are korean movies/dramas always so touching?

8. i had reformatted my laptop like 2 days ago and realised that my SIMS 3 SAVE FILE IS GONE ALONG WITH THE FORMATTING. i have to restart my whole family again.

This post below is kinda for py, who has always been troubled over friendship issues. LOL.

not that i'm hinting anything but well everyone encounters them.

so basically, i have been thinking abt friendships also. not just close ones of cos. but everyone, including my current classmates, or my exclassmates. ( yeah if u are one of them i'd definitely have tot of u during my spare time which i know i have loads. )

So my personal theory of friendship is summarised into this.

First and foremost, i'm sure everyone categorises friends.

who doesn't?

Tell me who honestly regard every friend the same way?

everyone treats everyone else differently.

so this is the reason why. ( PY PAY ATTENTION. )

Number One: Distant friends/acquaintances/classmates

This is the type of people whom we can meet for once, or meet daily in school and yet cannot form a strong relationship bar with them. They can be friends introduced to you, strangers whom u meet on the streets, friends whom u meet during orientations,or u are in the same class with them for school or even some enrichment course u go to.

In a class, there are bound to be people whom you can't click. Honestly, no matter how much time u spend with them, the gap between you two is forever like that. Yes, i have experience with that kind of friend before. i'm sure tiff n mel sure agreeing like mad here. it's like OMG. u really really can go eat with that fella for so long and yet still can't click.

but still, u can't blame the other person or yourself actually. after much thinking, i believe it's fate. blame it on fate that you guys can't click that well. haha. so no one's at fault yeah. not that one is super antisocial etc. so just stay positive and just regard this person as a distant friend. bu still a friend nonetheless.

Number Two: Friends/Close Classmates
Ahh. this is the kind that should make up the majority of your friends seriously. They are the ones whom u can have a short casual chat like, "Hey! you going for lecture? haha. omg the lecture is gonna be so boring! hate the lecturer lor! haha okay let's go in" kind of conversation. short n sweet and leaves you smiling definitely.

They can also be the ones whom u dine with on some occasions like a class going to lunch tgt or maybe a small group go eat tgt for a while because have a short break etc. They are the types that you can talk comfortably to, but not too much or too detailed topics like personal issues. just mainly school issues or some casual jokes about each other.

This category of friends somehow can be the ones who have the potential to develop closer friendship ties if u spend more time with them, or they'll just remain as it is and become part of your school memories.

Number Three: Good Friends.

Believe it or not, a clique can contain good friends of yours. Cliques doesn't mean u got to be close/best friends with all of them, especially in big cliques. How cld u possibly be so close to all of them! some of them sure drift into their lives now and then, but they still show up their faces if u ask them out for gatherings etc. and of course, they'll rmbr you.

This type of friends are the ones whom u spend/spent most of the time with them in school, eating together or going to classes together. They are the ones who know your character, like what kind of person are you ( Gentle, Funny, EVIL! or hardworking )

But they not necessarily know your secrets and they don't have to know actually. because sometimes it's better to not reveal too much of ur personal life anyway. Still, this bunch of friends can be dere for u sometimes, especially during unexpected situations.

Number Four: Best/Close FriendsI didn't put 100% because i honestly believe no friends can reach the 100% stage of knowing one another to the max because we all eventually have some things that our best/close friends do not know about or are unaware of. even though u can spend like 20-30 years of ur life being friends with that person.

Anyway, this bunch of friends are the ones whom you constantly keep close contact with, through sms, msn, phone calls, meetups etc. They are the ones who most often belong in ur clique, or are just a separate person out of the clique whom u are close to.

They know you very well, and can often predict your decision, know your wants n needs and your fave stuffs and what u dislike etc. In addition, they are the ones whom your OTHER friends will approach if there is something wrong with you.

like example person A is in a emo mood for weeks, den other friends will approach the best/close friends and ask them wad happen etc.

They are also the ones whom you think of most of the time when you're living your life etc, the ones who come up into ur mind like " hey omg! this movie is coming out! shall jio ____ and ____ or whatever. " just something like that.

Anyway i think that sums it all up. i might left some details out, or state somethings that you disagree, but still this is what i know/learnt over the course of my life.

and i personally think that there is no harm in having any of these types of friends.

All types of friends are good to have. so i recommend people not to eliminate/get rid of any category of friends in their lives.

because friendships are there for you to learn new stuffs abt life and there's no harm in having one more friend in life.

P.S i didn't talk about enemies / disliked friends here. but i guess everyone knows how it feels being around this kind people in ur life haha.
